I was going through the old notes I have in my phone when I saw this one.
This was made (I think) during one of my Bible study sessions with Farah and Ann Janine, and Dayle was obviously with us also. I remember challenging them to raise their level of commitment and pray for new disciples in the coming school year (which is basically this year). I smiled at the thought and of the reminder of the commitments they made that day which they too, probably might have forgotten for themselves already. Immediately I texted them, informed them about this note and asked how they are going with it so far...
I couldn't be more amazed upon receiving their cool responses. Indeed, they too forgot about it but then the Lord was and is faithful in leading new disciples to them, so that even though in their minds they forgot, it is Him who enabled them to keep and fulfill their commitments.
Too often, our puny mind and limited memory fail us. We easily forget -- even the most trivial of things. This is where journals, diaries, notes, etc come in handy, where the hassle becomes a dazzle. The hassle of diligently writing entries upon entries suddenly becomes a dazzle of God's faithful answering of our every concern. We get to see His track record in our lives and it helps us to praise Him for what He has done and even trust Him more for the greater things He has in store for us. Because "He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
