Seasoned Through Grace

11:40 AMmarianneejoycee

To season and to flavor are not the same thing, Larousse Gastronomique insisted, for seasoning includes a large or small amount of salt being added to a preparation. It is used to draw out water or to magnify a natural flavor of a food making it richer or more delicate.

Like a salt doing wonders to a dish, grace too results to far more wonders to a person's life. Yancey tries to explain with all his wisdom what is it with grace. Really, what's so amazing about grace? How does it feel to be seasoned through grace? Well I guess...

To be seasoned through grace entails a long process happening over a long period of time. It does not easily occur overnight, that we can simply sleep it off and wake up as a better person.

To be seasoned through grace means slowly drawing out the bitterness, selfishness, pride and all the negativities we keep within ourselves.

To be seasoned through grace means courageously facing trials of any kind with pure joy, be tenderized rather than be embittered by it.

To be seasoned through grace can be the worst or the best of times. But in the end, it will mold us into the kind of person God created us to be.

So now the question, what's so amazing about grace?

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast." [Ephesians 2:8-9]

I am a struggling Christian, painfully seasoned by and through grace. Come to know God and start a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ, and you too will have opportune moments in life, seasoned with His grace.
